A Chance Encounter with... a Semester in London

When one of your best friends asks you if you could go to London with her for the semester, you have to consider it. Right?
That was my frame of mind when Katie asked me to think about studying abroad at the end of September. I only had about two weeks before the deadline to apply. So here I was, making a pretty big college experience decision in just a few short days.
I quickly emailed my adviser to see what he thought about the idea. He said, "Go for it."
So the green light was on.
Now I just had to check in with my parents.
They were coming down for the weekend, so I was left with a day or two to compile my thoughts and develop answers for the questions I expected they might ask. They would then have three or four days to give me the official go ahead so that I could submit my application.
Thankfully, they said yes!!!
I am so excited to be embarking on the adventure of my life, and I want all the people I know and love to be able to follow along with our adventures! I have started this blog for all of you to keep up with us despite our six hour time difference.
We have our lists full of places that we are excited to go. Yet, one of the most beautiful parts of traveling are the things you happen upon.. those chance encounters, if you will.
This is why I have chosen Traveling Trouvaille as the name of my blog! Trouvaille means just that, "A Chance Encounter with Something Wonderful."
We leave January 9, so that leaves me approximately one month to get all packed and ready to go.
I cannot wait to see what wonderful somethings we encounter, and I hope you enjoy following along.
